International Women’s Day
This year, Contact Centers Dominicana (CCD) was proud to host Women’s Talk 2023, an event celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8th, and one that brought together five amazing professionals at CCD that talked about challenges and the evolving landscape for women in the workplace!
International Women’s Day is an important day of celebration and recognition for all women across the globe. This year, at Contact Centers Dominicana (CCD), we hosted a Women’s Talk event celebrating this day.
The event brought together five women that shared experiences and discussed how the landscape has evolved.
How the landscape has evolved for women in leadership roles
The past few years have seen remarkable changes in the workplace for women. Increasingly, companies are recognizing the value of having women in leadership roles and actively trying to promote diversity and inclusion within their ranks.
We are seeing more women in board positions and executive roles, which is leading to better representation of the female population in decision-making. Furthermore, there has been an increase in flexible working options for women, such as remote working and more flexible working hours, which helps them to find a better balance between their professional and personal lives.
Additionally, there has been an increase in the number of women-led start-ups, opening up new opportunities for women to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors and further their career aspirations. All of these changes are allowing women to take advantage of more professional opportunities than ever before and create more pathways for success.
How to find the balance between professional and personal life?
On this topic, there were several recommendations that our guest speakers shared that have helped them navigate and thrive in both aspects of their lives:
1. Having a strong support system: family, friends, and colleagues ar Connect with others in the same position as you and lean on them for advice and reassurance.
2. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when needed. You can’t do it all on your own.
3. Don’t forget to make time for yourself. It can be hard to remember when things are stressful, but having a regular time to relax and care for yourself is essential for your well-being.
Finally, this incredible exchange demonstrated that, by embracing challenges and finding solutions to each one, women are not only working toward a better future for themselves but also inspiring other women to do the same.
