CCD Reforestation Day 2025: Commitment Turns into Action in Villa Altagracia

On June 7, CCD Health experienced a memorable day in its CCD Reforestation Day 2025, where the commitment to the environment turned into concrete action: 1,100 cocoa trees were planted in a rural area of Villa Altagracia.
98 Volunteers with a Common Goal
From very early in the morning, a team of 98 volunteers from different provinces of the island joined with energy, enthusiasm and boots on their feet to contribute to this green initiative. Cocoa was the protagonist species, chosen not only for its ecological value, but also for its potential positive economic impact on local communities.
A commitment that transcends
“I really enjoyed the experience of planting trees for such an important environmental cause in our country as the preservation of rivers. In addition, it was a fun activity in which we worked as a team and I had the opportunity to connect with nature, which is always relaxing,” said Rovenny Saint-Hilaire Núñez, PPC & Content MKT Support Analyst at CCD Health, addressing the team during the day.
The activity served to strengthen the bond between employees from the different offices of CCD Health, and also reaffirmed the purpose of being a socially responsible company, committed to the sustainable development of the country.
More than trees, We’re Sowing a Sustainable Future
This is the second consecutive year that a similar day has been held, which in addition to contributing to the fight against deforestation and favoring the wetlands ecosystem and the preservation of fresh water, the choice of cocoa creates future opportunities for farmers and inhabitants of the area, by promoting a conservation model with social impact.
